Wedding

One thing that I loved the most in my profession as a makeup artist is that this industry offers a vast avenue wherein I will be able to continue in growing and developing my craft. Advertising, beauty editorials in different magazines, fashion shows, and the list goes on and on. I am blessed to have the opportunity to experience and at the same time grow as I work with different people in the industry; work in different places, and especially encountering different faces where I get to apply my work of art.

Being in the industry for 12 years, I realize I need to venture onto something that I know I love the most, to something I know I will grow and will further hone the craft that I fell in love with 12 years ago. And fortunately for me, I was able to find it in the wedding industry. Working for the wedding industry is by far the most challenging part of my career as a make up artist but at the same time it is where I felt most satisfied and fulfilled at the end of the day. Challenging because I get to work with regular and typical women. By regular and typical I meant those who are not models, those who are not part of what we usually see in the magazine showcasing their almost perfect faces. I have had the challenge and at the same time the pleasure to work with women who befit and exemplify on their chosen careers; businesswomen, lawyers, doctors, accountants, teachers, nurses, etc. Challenging because these women are uniquely beautiful inside(character and personality wise) and out(facial features) and that uniqueness must be seen or even highlighted after putting the make up on. It is at the same time where I felt most satisfied and fulfilled at the end of the day because I am able to make the bride feel most beautiful herself for the most special day of her life; without giving her a personality not hers and trying to cover up or disguise the real person she is. Fulfilled and satisfied because I am able to contribute in bringing out the real and true beauty that every woman innately has (bride or not) and making her feel it herself and at the same time be appreciated by the people around.

The women that will be showcased in this page are real brides on their real wedding days. The approach on the make up varies, from natural to even something I myself rarely use for weddings yet still sticking to beauty and natural and making sure she is the most beautiful woman for that very special day. Enjoy!
