Stylist: Matt Gozon
Makeup PEG: Young, Fresh and Natural
Hairstylist: George Aliben

Who would not know the phenomenal diva who created the song "Bakit Pa" sung by people of all ages then? It was a sure hit and I can still remember how people or even I myself would sing it imitating her one of a kind voice. And indeed no one else does it but only her, Jessa Zaragosa. When I was asked by Benj her RM I didn't hesitate to grab the opportunity and also that I was on Doc Marlon's studio that same day shooting for a different ad. In short "lagare" ako that day.

It was fun working with Jessa, she is such a bubbly and very down to earth person. We were laughing the entire shoot as  I was trying to sing some of her old famous songs imitating her voice and also her projection.

This will be her debut as she was quite for sometime so i made sure na may pasabog. She has very beautiful fair skin which I didn't have much problem. All I did is to highlight her skin and using natural tones so that her beautiful skin will still stand out. It was also fun working with her since she knows what she wants and she is not hard to work with.

Our goal was to make her look young and fresh as she is about to once again step onto the limelight of the industry where everyone has been missing and waiting for her comeback. It was a long day for me since I been working from morning til evening then but everything was worth it especially that you saw your job is great and Jessa was satisfied and very happy with my work.

I myself am so happy working with her since I am a big fan of hers and her phenomenal songs. Congrats to Ms. Jessa Zaragosa-Avanzado and indeed bongga ang iyong pagbabalik.

Wedding: JEM CAPITO: THE HANDS-ON BRIDE

Wedding Date: November 12, 2011
Wedding Venue: San Agustin Church
Photographer: Mango Red
Hairstylist: Rowena Sonido
Gown: Veluz Reyes

I first saw Jem when I met her at Shangrila mall with her fiancé. Little did I know that her fiancé is the the brother of a good friend of mine. The first time I met Jem reminds me of a typical bride to be, however she somehow freaked me out coz she was very detailed with everything.

But I find it very nice that she knows what she wants and she even exert much effort in making sure everything is well planned even though she has her own wedding coordinator.

During the wedding day itself, Jem was very hands on with all the details which made everything on smooth flow then. She is very keen to details and one thing I enjoy the most working with her is that she knows what she wants and she was very easy to get along with.

The day went well and I am happy that I was able to give Jem the look that she wants and that she looks stunning on her very special day. Until then Ms. Jem! Congrats and see you around. :)

Fashion: SKIN 101

2012  AD Campaign for SKIN 101 CLINIC
Photographer: Doc Marlon Pecjo
Stylist: AJ Alberto
Makeup PEG: Very Natural Highlighting the Skin
Hairstylist: Nelson Cruz

Being part of the Beauty industry somehow gives anyone the pressure of maintaining beauty for him/herself. It is hard to sell/promote your craft or your profession if you yourself is not a good example to whatever it is that you are practicing or promoting. Indeed, PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH. As a makeup artist, I promote and provide beauty to my clients, thus, it is but appropriate for me to maintain beauty as well so that  somehow clients would feel at ease and comfortable with regard to my credibility.

SKIN 101 is a beauty clinic that offers variety of dermatological services. It might be a haven't heard clinic to some but it has been my most trusted clinic for more than 10 years now which provides an outstanding service and not to mention the prices of the services are not that overpriced compared to other clinics. I personally know the dermatologists/owners and they are very nice people. Though it is not the first time I will be working with them since I also did their first campaigns with model "Loua".

I have always been in love with natural makeup.  But I also have to admit that achieving it especially in photos is not as easy as it looks. The makeup should not dominate the color of the skin, the application must be clean and when lights strike on the skin, the makeup should just enhance and not dominate nor masks the skin itself.

And also job well done to Nelson Cruz who has been the overall creative director/hairstylist/assistant/stylist rolled into one. It only proves that to be an advocate of beauty requires a lot... But in the end, it's all worth it! Kudos!
